Once harvested, bamboo will have regrown in just four years making it the most rapidly renewable resource on the planet. Additionally, the manufacture of Lamboo® requires 15% less energy than comparable man-made wood and may even contribute points toward LEED® green building projects.

Extremely dense and resistant to pests, Lamboo® also has natural anti-fungal and anti-microbrial agents. On average, Lamboo® is 20 – 40% more stable than traditional wood and 3 – 10 times stronger depending on wood type and application.

There are over 1600 species of bamboo – only 4 are used in the manufacture of Lamboo to meet uniformity and performance standards. Mature plants, harvested between 4 and 6 years old, are chosen for optimal hardness and strength.
